Fallen Soldier: Christopher L. Robinson

Sergeant First Class Christopher L. Robinson, 36, of Brandon, Miss., was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group of the Mississippi Army National Guard, and served during Operation Enduring Freedom. On March 25, 2006, SFC Robinson was killed when his Humvee came under enemy fire during combat operations in the Sangain District, Afghanistan.

SFC Robinson enlisted in the Army in 1987 as a radio operator. While serving with 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group he deployed overseas various times to Bolivia, Argentina, Haiti, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. He was also a member of the Mississippi National Guard Counter Drug Task Force from 1992 through 2005 and served as an intelligence analyst for the Gulf Coast High Density Drug Trafficking Area.

“My mom says I am funny just like him. I am proud to have many of his traits. I am so proud of all his accomplishments and his service. I miss him every day and I am proud to call him my dad,” his daughter said.

SFC Robinson’s daughter is a Folds of Honor Scholarship recipient.
